Mike, you're thinking of "The Best of Times."

I think "Any Given Sunday" is a pretty good football movie, although the story telling itself uses over-the-top devices. It's by no means ground-breaking, but the conflicts portrayed in it seem reasonably realistic: the QB wife who can't accept her husband's demise, the medical staff torn between ethics and the team's needs, the fading star player looking to secure his contractual elevators, the brash rookie, the distracted yet distracting owner (but why would anybody want to move a team from Miami?), the overworked coach, the douchebag journalist, the huge financial stakes that ride on the battered shoulders of exceptional yet disposable men. More or less the ingredients you'll find swirling through and around any NFL team.

Football shows and movies are almost alway awful.
TV Shows are always way over the top.
The Last Boyscout could be the worst Movie Ever Made. I can only think of 3 or 4 football movies I ever liked.
1. Everybody's All American (great movie)
2. Brians Song
3. I can't think of the name of this one. Robin williams and I think Kirk Russell are addicted to watching football and they replay a high school game. It's a comedy and it's pretty good. The name escapes me.
